Foundation of Les Industries Trovac Ltée (ITL)
Les Industries Trovac Ltée (ITL) was founded in 1960 by Mr. Jacques Bruneau, an expert in the field of central vacuum cleaners. His goal was to manufacture and distribute a central vacuum surpassing all those then available on the market.
Launch of the Cyclovac trademark
It is distinguished not only by its unique burgundy color, but also by its high performance and remarkable silence. Cyclovac products conquered the market with their revolutionary design, exceptional performance and great reliability. One triumphant launch follows another, and over the years Cyclovac products have become synonymous with quality and reliability, a fact that is reflected in every appliance and accessory.
Opening of distribution centers in British Columbia and France
Trovac opens its first Cyclovac distribution center in British Columbia, Canada, in partnership with wholesaler Tip Top Parts. Tip Top Parts has been distributing over 7000 vacuum products and parts to our dealer network since 1987. This was soon followed by the opening of an office and distribution center in Treffieux, France (1990) to develop the international market.
New Trovac headquarters
Trovac moves from a 12,000 sq. ft. space in Laval to its 35,000 sq. ft.head office and factory in Blainville, Quebec to meet the needs following a massive expansion of the organization.

New president and proudly commencing our associated with the Multiple Sclerosis Scientific Research Foundation
Marc Bruneau, son of Jacques Bruneau, succeeds his father as president of Trovac. The association with the Multiple Sclerosis Scientific Research Foundation begins, and continues to this day.
The retractable system
Trovac launches the very first retractable hose system. Known as "Hide a Hose", it is a revolutionary innovation of a central vacuum hose that retracts into walls.
Introduction of the Data Sync innovation
Trovac is the first organization to implement the Data Sync system on its central vacuums. This technology enables power levels to be selected according to the surfaces to be cleaned, saving up to 20% energy and prolonging motor life. The system also includes special indicators that signal recommended maintenance at the right time.
Creation of Retraflex® and launch of WallyFlex®.
The evolution of the retractable system under the Retraflex brand arrives in 2011. The launch of this all-new, improved retractable hose connection, adapted to different markets, won over central vacuum professionals around the world. In addition, the WallyFlex® auxiliary hose, which complements the central vacuum, is launched.
U.S. distribution center opens
A third distribution center was opened in Kansas City, USA.
Transition to lean manufacturing
Trovac implements a production management method that focuses on lean management with changes to production flow, inventories and equipment maintenance.
Acquisition of Tip Top Parts, launch of Hayden® & SuperVac® and creation of an easy-to-pack machine
For Trovac, 2017 was an important year for expansion. Trovac acquired Tip Top Parts, launched Hayden and Super Vac, and created a machine to facilitate packaging. The creation of this machine earned Trovac 1st prize from the CNESST for the Laurentides region, SME section, in the organization's annual competition promoting occupational health and safety.
Launch of the Airstream® brand and rebirth of the Super Pack®.
Trovac launches Airstream® with its wide range of portables vacuums, including the Stick Vac UV.
This proven technology helps reduce 99.97% of air pollutants and odors in ambient air.
Tip Top Parts and U.S. distribution center relocate
Tip Top relocates to triple its warehouse capacity, and the U.S. distribution center is relocated to South Bend, Indiana to double its warehouse capacity.
Acquisition of Essco Canada and F2M and launch of Cyclo UV & Airstream UV
Acquisition of Essco Canada, Canadian distributor of vacuum cleaner products.
Trovac acquires two distributors specializing in central vacuum distribution: Essco Canada and F2M. Trovac also expands its product range, launching ultraviolet air purifiers under the Cyclo UV and Airstream UV brands. This proven technology neutralizes germs, viruses, air pollutants and odors in ambient air.
Trovac expands its Blainville warehouse to 85,000 sq. ft
