Foundation of Les Industries Trovac Ltée (ITL)
Les Industries Trovac Ltée (ITL) was founded in 1960 by Mr. Jacques Bruneau, an expert in the field of central vacuum cleaners. His goal was to manufacture and distribute a central vacuum surpassing all those then available on the market.
Launch of the Cyclo Vac brand
In 1976, the Cyclo Vac brand was launched, making quite an impression with its burgundy color, high performance and remarkably low noise level. The revolutionary design, impressive capabilities and undeniable reliability of Cyclo Vac central vacuum units took the market by storm. One successful launch followed another. Over the years, ITL products became synonymous with the highest standards of quality and reliability – a fact still reflected in all units and attachments produced today.
Opening of distribution center in British Columbia and France
Opening of the first Cyclo Vac distribution center in British Columbia, Canada, in partnership with Tip Top Parts wholesaler. Tip Top Parts has been distributing over 7000 vacuum products and parts to our network of dealers since 1987.
Opening of the Treffieux distribution centre in France. Eager to pursue its vision of being a world leader, Trovac enters the international market.
Construction of a new head office
The company is moving from 2,800 sq. ft. space in Laval to its head office and 7,000 sq. ft. factory in Blainville, Quebec.

The factory is expanding to 75,000 square feet.
New president and association with Multiple Sclerosis Foundation
Marc Bruneau, son of Jacques, succeeds his father as president of the company.
Association with the Multiple Sclerosis Scientific Research Foundation.
Creation of RetraflexMD
Market launch of the first central vacuum hose system that retracts into the wall.
Introduction of the Data Sync innovation
Trovac is the first to have implemented the Data Sync system on its central vacuums. This technology allows you to choose the power levels according to the surfaces to be cleaned, which saves up to 20% energy and extends the life of the engine.
WallyFlexMD auxiliary hose Innovation
Launch of an auxiliary hose that is complementary to the central vacuum.
Opening of a distribution center in the United States
Opening of the distribution center in Kansas City, USA.
Transition to « lean manufacturing »
Implementation of a production management method that focuses on “lean management” with modifications to the workflow, inventories and equipment maintenance.
Acquisition of Tip Top Parts, launch of Hayden(R) & Super Vac ® and creation of a machine to facilitate packaging
Acquisition of Tip Top Parts – Distributor of vacuum cleaner parts with 3 distribution centres.
Launch of the Hayden® and Super Vac® brands.
Creation of a machine for labeling vacuum cleaners and for packaging them in an ergonomic and efficient way. This achievement earned Trovac the 1st prize of the CNESST for the Laurentians region, SME section within the framework of the annual competition of the organization promoting health and safety at work.
Launch of the Aistream® brand and rebirth of Super Pack® exclusive range ofaccessories
Launch of the Aistream® brand with its wide range of portable vacuums including the Stick Vac.
Rebirth of the exclusive range of the Super Pack® accessories with its new SuperFlex® hose
Relocation of Tip Top Parts and US distribution center
Relocation of Tip Top Parts to triple storage capacity.
